Easy Fundraising
We’ve got a page that explains how Easy Fundraising works and helps you get set up – check it out. BUT – our top tip is to download their toolbar reminder. This will pop up every time you’re on a website that will generate donations via Easy Fundraising – so you don’t have to go via the Easy Fundraising website every time. ALSO – make sure you click the toolbar reminder as soon as it pops up, before you start to put things into your basket (in some cases, clicking the toolbar reminder will throw you onto the site’s home page and even empty your basket which is really annoying, but easily avoided).
Amazon Smile
For Amazon Smile, you simply need to ensure that you log into Amazon Smile rather than regular Amazon, and select William Wates Memorial Trust as your chosen charity. The prices are the same, but a 0.5% donation is generated for WWMT.
BUT – please note that we cannot identify specific donations generated by you (it’s a data protection issue) – so you will need to:
Log into your smile.amazon.co.uk buyer account.
Click on the tab ‘Supporting: William Wates Memorial Trust’.
Click on ‘Your AmazonSmile impact’.
Email a screenshot of this page so that we can allocate this to your fundraising total.
Note that after you place a qualifying smile.amazon.co.uk order, it may take several days for the amount “you have generated” to update. Also donations are issued to charities quarterly via electronic bank account deposit (but we’re happy to ‘count it’ towards your tally as soon as you email us the screenshot).
Want these donations to show on your Virgin Money Giving Page?
Simply go to edit your page, find the ‘funds raised offline’ icon and enter the figure manually. This shows your supporters how much you’ve raised.
