Individual Booking Notes
i. This is a £160 supplement for the extra costs associated with Paris (transport from the Alps, accommodation on the last night and our celebration party)
ii. This is a £20 supplement for the Pyrenees Loop for a transfer to Tarbes airport or train station on departure day
iii. This is a £25 supplement for the Second Half, Double and Double Double Loops for a transfer from Lyon (airport or St Exupery TGV station) to the hotel in Vichy
iv. This is a £25 supplement for the First Half and Middle Mountains Loops for a transfer from Ussel to Clermont Ferrand train station on departure day (for trains to Paris or Lyon)
v. This is a £30 supplement for Alps and Mountains Week cyclists for a transfer from Alpe d’Huez to Geneva airport on departure day
vi. For the Double Double extra stages, there will be an additional £460 payment, payable any time before 31st March
vii. Extra nights in Barcelona are available separately if you’d like to arrive on the Friday rather than on the Time Trial day
General Booking Notes For Everyone
Cancellation policy
Deposits are non-refundable at any time for any reason. However, second payments are fully refundable until the 31st March. For further details of our cancellation policy, please see the event terms and conditions.
What is included in the price
Your accommodation, food (including breakfast, all feed stops, lunch on the road and dinner), and all transfers (including baggage) on tour are included. You are responsible for getting yourself to your start hotel and home from your finish hotel at your own expense. Please note any individual booking notes listed below for your Loop.
Paying for your place
We ask for a £250 non-refundable deposit to reserve your place (£500 for Grand Loopers). The rest of the tour cost will be payable in two further instalments. You will be able to pay each instalment online via your Rider Account shop.
If we’ve sold out of the Loop that you’d like
If the Loop that you would like is sold out, we will be operating a waiting list system to fill any spare places that become available. Please contact us to join a waiting list or for questions about availability.
Terms and Conditions
Please make sure you have read the general Terms and Conditions. The deposit is not refundable and we wouldn’t want you to have missed anything important before paying.
Fundraising
Please be aware of the minimum sponsorship that you will need to raise. This is listed in the table above. More information is in the Terms and Conditions. In particular, please note that we ask you to reach 80% of your fundraising target by the end of April. Participants who have not reached 80% of their target will be asked to pay the fundraising amount themselves or will not be permitted to ride.
Insurance
We recommend that you organise your insurance immediately. A few people have to drop out each year due to work/family commitments, injury and illness – unfortunately some of those who have had to drop out had not yet arranged insurance. Don’t make the same mistake. More information is in the Terms and Conditions and in your Rider Account.
Bike Transport
You can book transport for your bike to and from France for £60 each way (with a £10 discount until the end of March). We have pick up locations on set dates around the country (Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Petersfield, Devon, Bristol, London) and we often add others subject to rider geography. These transfers will be available to buy in December/January.
Le Loop clothing
You don’t have to buy our Le Loop clothing but we’d love it if you did. It’s the best kit ever. You will look amazing! It is available to purchase in your Rider Account shop.
Single Supplements
Single supplements are priced and sold by the night so you can choose to buy none, a few, or as many as possible. For more information on how to request singles, see your Rider Account (under hotels). If you have any questions about singles before sign-up, please email Sarah.
Medical Forms
Please be reassured that our cyclist medical forms are for confirmation that we have correct information for our volunteer doctors; they are not used for selection purposes. Details of how to complete and upload this form will be in your Rider Account once you have bought your place.
